Bakersfield Youth Ambassadors Visit to Wakayama: June 18-27, 2024. This program is open to a maximum of 10-13 Bakersfield students currently in junior high or high school (ages 13-17). Participants will spend 5 nights staying with families in Wakayama, before departing to explore Nara, Kyoto, and Hiroshima for three more days. The cost, at this time, is $2,750, which includes airfare, 3 nights hotel, land transport, admission fees, and most meals. The deadline to apply is January 1, 2024, as airline reservations and payment for airfare must be completed by January 31, 2024 in order to receive the currently quoted rate.
